Content Marketing Intern

RU SURE, a social marketing campaign organized by the Rutgers Center for Communication and Health Issues, is designed to educate first-year students on the misconceptions surrounding college drinking at Rutgers. Additionally, RU SURE actively promotes a healthy campus culture by providing Rutgers students with a variety of AOD (alcohol and other drug) free events. Established in 1997, RU SURE has conducted over a decade of research on student alcohol use at Rutgers, revealing that two-thirds of Rutgers students limit their alcohol intake to three drinks or fewer, and one-fifth abstain from drinking altogether. The campaign's outreach is spearheaded by students who have completed the Media, Marketing, and Communication course. Following this course, students have the opportunity to apply as content marketing interns for RU SURE. Having taken the course in Fall 2022, I am currently serving as a content marketing intern for RU SURE from Spring 2023 to Fall 2023.

As a content marketing intern for RU SURE, I'm responsible for event planning, involving the organization of engaging table events that not only raise awareness about RU SURE but also incorporate enjoyable themes, featuring giveaways and interactive games. Additionally, I lead the content strategy for promoting these events on RU SURE's Instagram. Beyond event planning, my role extends to social takeover weeks, where I strategically curate content for a week, focusing primarily on alcohol education.
