Rutgers Commencement Press Release

The Rutgers Commencement Press Release project aimed at showcasing the lessons learned from my Principles of PR course. The project involved formulating a press release to announce a graduation commencement speaker of our choosing, highlighting their significance for speaking at Rutgers Medical and Health Sciences graduation ceremony. For me, I chose Dr. Rochelle Walensky as the commencement speaker for Rutgers graduation, as she served as a role model and influence throughout the pandemic. The conceptualized graduation timeframe for this assignment was during fall of 2021, so that also had influence over my decision since the COVID-19 Pandemic was prevalent. Through her accomplishments and position, I believed her to be the most effective graduation speaker to bring hope to students and motivate them to give their best, despite the odds the pandemic brought onto students.
